Reply to patient reviews without breaking privacy rules
The problem
Dental, medical and home health offices want to answer online reviews, but a well-meant reply that confirms someone was a patient or mentions their treatment can violate HIPAA. So many practices leave every review unanswered, and negative ones sit at the top of their Google profile.
How AI solves it
Write a short privacy rule for review replies: never confirm the person is a patient, never mention a visit, condition, treatment or schedule, and move every specific conversation offline. Ask an AI assistant to draft a library of approved generic replies for 5-star, mixed and negative reviews that follow the rule (for example, thanking someone for feedback and inviting them to call the office manager). For each new review, paste only the review text, with no patient records, and ask for a reply from the library that fits the tone. A manager approves before posting, and the practice reviews its approach with its compliance advisor.
